Growing up in Huntington Beach, these Baja Hoodies were a '70's surfer staple. My brother and I got our first Baja pullovers in '76, while on a family RV trip to Bahia de los Angeles on the Sea of Cortez. My dad's RV broke down in Ensenada, forcing us to "lay over" in what was a pretty quaint city. We spent two days sight seeing, shopping, and taking in the local culture. That's when mom bought my brother and I our first Baja Hoodies. At first these rustic hooded shirts seemed more of a novelty to mom than something you would wear all the time. Boy was mom wrong. Brad and I wore these things all the time. We wore them to school. We wore them after surfing, on dates, to dances and even used them as seat covers in our VW vans. They never seemed to look dirty, and always looked cool with our curdoroy shorts and Vans slip-ons. I guess thats why every Mex trip, we brought home a new Baja pullover. Well, in 30 plus years, a lot has changed. I no longer push start my cars, 2 beers won't get me drunk. I don't part my hair in the middle, or carry a comb in my back pocket. Nothing I own has a Viking Princess airbrushed on it and tight OP shorts are no longer part of my wardrobe. What hasn't changed is the timelessness of these Baja Pullovers. They are truly for all ages, young and old, and my kids have started the next generation wearing them. So pick yourself up a No Bad Days Baja Hoodie and relax. You'll be glad you did.
